Dutch Sanger, Executive Director of the Panama City Downtown Improvement Board

Dutch Sanger is currently the Executive Director for the Panama City Downtown Improvement
Board in Panama City Florida. Prior to Panama City, Mr. Sanger was the Special Events
Coordinator for the City of Hagerstown, Maryland and was one of the original members
of the nationally known Western Maryland BluesFest Committee. He is also a graduate
of Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelors Degree in Arts. Mr. Sanger has been
responsible for the dramatic changes in events in Panama City. Prior to Mr. Sanger’s
employment, Panama City in 2003 held (3) signature events a year with a sponsorship
budget of $6,500. For 2011, Panama City has (29) events that is either handled by
Mr. Sanger or facilitated by him and total sponsorships exceeding $730,000. He is
very active with Bay County Non-Profits as a consultant for fundraising and event
logistics. Mr. Sanger is best known as the “Father” of Friday Fest in Panama City
which attracts 12,000 visitors a month to Downtown Panama City which has won “Best
of Bay-Festival” in Bay County for (3) years running and currently has close to
5,000 Facebook friends.
