Jeannette Peters, Nonprofit Management Consulting, LLC, Gainesville, FL

Jeannette Peters has been working in a leadership capacity with nonprofit organizations since 1992. A "recovering attorney," she has managed a number of large-scale federal and state-funded projects, including eight years as Head Start director for four north Florida counties, and has secured more than $19 million in grant funding for her clients since 1995. She frequently serves as a federal grant reviewer in Washington, DC for the Department of Health and Human Services. Jeannette has degrees in Journalism and Law, and completed a Johnson & Johnson Head Start Management Fellowship at UCLA in 2000. She is a certified Main Street Consultant in the area of Organization, and has been trained in community development and organizational development by the federal Center for Substance Abuse Prevention and the Head Start Bureau.
