paddle florida
White Springs to Branford,
Florida

Get Down on the Suwannee River...
... and Go with the Flow!
Thanks to everyone who paddled and assisted in the inaugural Paddle Florida, the event was a great sucess. Over 150 people participated as we covered 123 miles on the Suwannee River during March 20-27, 2008.
For our follow up event this November, we plan to start farther upriver at Stephen Foster State Park in White Springs and finish in Branford. As many as 200 paddlers will be going with the flow, averaging 13 miles per day and camping on the banks of Florida ’s beautiful Suwannee River. Details will be forthcoming in the very near future. Please stay tuned.
We'll update the route with details as they become available.
Paddle Florida is held in cooperation with the Florida Park Service and the Suwannee River Water Management District. These two organizations, through partnerships with both the public and private sectors, have created the 171-mile Suwannee River Wilderness Trail. The Trail is a series of cabins, river camps and private "hubs" that, taken together, make the Suwannee River accessible to paddlers, hikers, bikers, equestrian enthusiasts and other user groups. Paddle Florida will be using some of the facilities that have been recently completed.
Join us! Experience a week of camaraderie and the thrill of paddling a Florida gem.
Paddle Florida . . . and go with the flow.
