Heather Bermudez is marketing manager for the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE.  In her Festival role, Bermudez is responsible for managing the Festival’s 70+ media partnerships, marketing automation, advertising and maintaining traditional and new media marketing platforms. Now in its 15th year, the Festival has raised more than $22 million for the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Florida International University (FIU). Outside of the Festival, Bermudez is an adjunct professor of advertising and public relations at FIU and provides marketing and public relations counsel for South Florida non-profit organizations. In giving back to the community, Bermudez was part of a grassroots movement to create public awareness for teen dating violence in Greater Miami. The project was recognized in February 2013 by Mayor Carlos Gimenez with a Mayoral Proclamation of “REAL Love Miami Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Week.”  With more than 10 years of experience, Bermudez began her career as a public relations practitioner before moving to marketing and corporate communications in agency and corporate settings.
