PALM COAST, Fla. – The Flagler County Tourist Development Council unveiled its new “Palm Coast & the Flagler Beaches” logo in a big way at the Palm Coast Seafood Festival November 3-4.  Utilizing 25 tons of sand, a company called Team Sandtastic used the logo as the centerpiece of a work of art at the festival.

 The Flagler County Tourist Development Council approved the new logo as part of its 2012-13 marketing plan which was approved in August.  Staff began to implement the plan October 1, designing the new logo for use in all advertising and promotional efforts, including online and print and collateral. The new URL for the destination will be www.PalmCoastandtheFlaglerBeaches.com  The former web site www.VisitFlagler.org will continue to work during the transition.

 The decision for Flagler County to position its tourism product as “Palm Coast & the Flagler Beaches” came as a result of a three-year strategic planning process.  The communities included in Flagler County are Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, The Hammock, Beverly Beach, Bunnell and Marineland. All of the tourism assets of the county – 19 miles of uncrowded beaches, almost 100 miles of trails, oceanfront golf, as well as an abundance of arts, culture and history –  will continue to be promoted as before.
