President & CEO, Easter Seals of South Florida

President & CEO of Easter Seals South Florida, an $11 million non-profit health and human services organization that provides exceptional services so that people living with autism, Alzheimer’s and other disabilities can live, learn, work and play in the community.  Some of the local programs include Head Start Centers, Child Development Centers for children with autism and other disabilities, a Culinary Arts High School for students with autism, Adult Day Care Centers for seniors with Alzheimer’s and other memory disorders. 

We are seeking a strong operational leader with the desire and capability to fundraise for the organization.  This person will work closely with the board to drive the organization to maximize resources and impact in Miami Dade and Broward counties. 

Who do you know that has a strong track record of leading non-profit programs and has the heart, warmth and passion to step into this role?  Candidates should have held a C-level role (such as CEO, COO, CFO or Chief Programs Officer) for more than 3 years with a direct care provider.    We are looking for candidates that currently or previously have a strong connection to the South Florida community. 

We seek candidates who have: 

•                    Significant operations leadership experience with a direct care provider with greater than $3 million in operating revenue

•                    Connection to the mission of serving people with disabilities

•                    Personal warmth and connectivity to people at all levels

•                    Personal competencies to be a fundraiser

•                    Current or previous experience living in South Florida with a good understanding of the multiple dimensions of our diverse community

•                    An ability to speak Spanish is ideal but not a requirement to be considered for the role

•                    Bachelor’s degree

City of Sunrise Leisure Services Department - Assistant Special Events Coordinator

  • Description: This is professional level managerial and supervisory work assisting the Special Events Coordinator in directing the services and personnel of the Leisure Services Department in support of various community events that are held at varied times throughout the year, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Parks & Recreation, Leisure Services, Public Administration or a closely related field; certification as a Parks & Recreation Professional is preferred. Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible special event/festival planning, recreation programming and facility management experience. One (1) year experience in related supervisory experience.
