Achievement Centers for Children & Families, located in Delray Beach, Florida, is seeking an Event and Marketing Manager. Successful applicant will have an outgoing and pleasant personality and be adept at managing volunteer committees and working with volunteers, donors and staff. Three years of event planning/fundraising and event marketing experience is required, as is budget management experience. Raisers Edge database experience a plus. This position is also responsible for generating media coverage of events, email marketing, and managing ACCF's social media presence. This is a highly visible position and networking and some public speaking is required. Ability to work occasional weekend events and attend evening meetings and events as needed. Title:                                       Accounting Manager

Position Purpose:                  To develop, implement and manage overall accounting, financial, and business activities for the organization
Position Status:                     Full Time, Year Around
Starting Salary Range:         $50,000 - $60,000
Benefits include: health insurance, vacation, paid holidays and sick time, retirement contribution (after 3 years), cell phone reimbursement, and all others as described in the employee manual.
Education/Experience Requirement:        
  • BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of five years of experience in related field
  • Proficient computer skills in QuickBooks accounting software, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with special events is preferable, but not required
Reports to:                             Executive Director

Key Areas of Responsibility:          


  1. Ensure organizational conformity with all financial procedures—bi-weekly payroll, accounts receivable, investments, sales taxes, accounts payable and preparation of monthly financial statements.
  2. Monitor organization cash flow.
  3. Coordinate and manage all festival and event finance procedures.
  4. Develop and administer all credit card related procedures.
  5. Financial applications and reports for grants.
  6. Maintain relationships with banks, IT support, credit card processing, and other key business services.
  7. Coordination of worker’s comp and employee health insurance.
  8. Assist in preparing annual budget and review budget compliance.
  9. Prepare annual audit schedules and provide all necessary information to external auditors.
  10. Conform with, and update when needed, the SunFest Management Policy Manual
