Marketing Coordinator, New Position

The candidate will be accountable for sponsor/partner development for Art Center events, coordinate social media, website, and advertising and press to enhance the organizations visibility, have the ability to collaborate and work as a team with other staff members and board of directors.

GENERAL DUTIES: Responsible for timely distribution of press releases.  Maintain Website and keep it current. Use Social Media to promote Art Center. Coordinate with other community groups to insure MDCA’s participation in community events. Maintain press database. Identify additional outreach opportunities to increase MDCA’s public exposure. Actively seek sponsors for MDCA events. Working with the marketing committee and other staff, design and oversee production of printed materials associated with all programming of MDCA, including: Arts Festival, Exhibits, Education, Membership and Outreach.

  • Attend other MDCA committee meetings as appropriate.
  • Attend Board Meetings.
  • Assist in the general efficiency of the MDCA office, including answering phones, registering students for classes, assisting as back-up to other staff as needed. 
  • Create reports as requested.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Reporting to the Executive Committee and working with the Board of Trustees to fulfill the mission and vision of the organization.
  • Work within the budget constraints of the current fiscal year.

Art Festival

 Serve as co-chair to the Annual Arts Festival.  Work with festival committees to produce an outstanding annual arts festival. Continue to improve overall quality of show. Media sponsor liaison for newspaper, radio and television coverage for annual event. Process all necessary applications and permits for event.

 Increase overall community participation in art center. Attend community meetings and functions as appropriate. Represent MDCA at appropriate functions. Coordinate with other community and state organizations to promote MDCA and Mount Dora.

The Dania Beach Community Revitalization Agency is seeking submissions from qualified persons, companies and firms to produce the Dania Beach Arts & Seafood Celebration, to be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 and Sunday, April 3, 2016 in the City of Dania Beach, Florida.
