Kris Mathis, CEO
SponsorPitch

Kris started SponsorPitch.com to address a core business problem he noticed while starting and working in the sponsorship division of a global marketing and PR agency. Being on the receiving end of many sponsorship proposals for his clients, Kris realized that sponsorship sellers were absent a turnkey and time-efficient way to find the most targeted sponsorship prospects and often resorted to cookie-cutter and often ill-fated sponsorship proposal blasts. SponsorPitch is a fully automated online recommendation platform for the $50+ billion business of sponsorships, employing proprietary recommendation algorithms powered by the industry's largest deal database to help nearly 60,000 members find the right partners faster.

Early in his career, Kris represented Fortune 500 clients at Edelman sponsorship consulting division where he made sponsorship buying, activation and renewal decisions for brands such as Johnson & Johnson, Schering-Plough, 20th Century Fox, Wyeth and Siemens. Prior to starting SponsorPitch, Kris served as International Product Manager for Paris-based mobile gaming startup, Gameloft, at the time named the fastest growing company in Europe by Business Week.

Kris has been featured in numerous business and trade publications including Forbes, Advertising Age, Bloomberg TV, MarketWatch, BizBash, Sports Business Daily and others. He has been featured as a “Rising Star” by PartnershipActivation.com and has hosted various speaking engagements, professional panels and webinars on the topics of sponsorship and entrepreneurship.

Kris' interest in media, advertising and sponsorships was sparked through several successful internships while receiving a B.A. from Washington and Lee University and his passion for start-ups began at Vanderbilt University, where he received an MBA while serving as president of the Vanderbilt Entrepreneurship Association.
