Richard Lopez represents the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF) partnership of FlU Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management and Southern Wine & Spirits. Richard has been in the event industry for over 10 years planning events at the university and taking on the enormous responsibility of recruiting, hiring, training, and providing onsite management to 1,300 students for SOBEWFF each year.

As Program Manager for the Festival his tasks include proper selection of leadership, extensive coaching, and fulfilling over 4,700+ shifts in a multiple large-scale event. Richard’s focus is to provide the best experience for students through comprehensive data analysis, surveying, and process mapping.
