Anheuser-Busch

Anheuser-Busch is "preaching the responsibility gospel" to the members of the Florida Festival and Events Association's (FFEA). Anheuser-Busch and its team of more than 600 independently owned wholesalers are proud to be industry leaders in the fight against alcohol abuse. Since 1982, Anheuser Busch and its wholesalers have invested more than $675 million in developing and implementing dozens of community based programs and national advertising campaigns.

Mandy Llanes, Southeast Region Manager for Anheuser-Busch, says the FFEA Convention and Trade Show is the "ultimate networking opportunity for us." After the success of last year's "Who's Your Bud" alcohol awareness presentation, Anheuser-Busch renewed its Association Sponsorship. Participants were able to attend an educational seminar on how to make their events better with responsible drinking campaigns that protect the organizers and festival goers. To really drive the point home, attendees got to enjoy a true festival experience with a tent-covered party, complete with wristbands and giveaways. Llanes' message to festival planners is that every precaution must be in place… from wristbands to safe ride homes to giveaway programs for designated drivers. Anheuser-Busch also sponsored Thursday Night's Social and the Late Night Hospitality Hours.

As the leading American brewer, Anheuser-Busch has a vested interest in the responsible consumption of its beers. This year, Anheuser-Busch is promoting two new programs, "Good Sports" for sports venues and "Sound Attitudes" for concerts and festivals. Both programs center around a designated driver program where the selected driver signs a pledge, commits to be the designated driver for their group at the event by not drinking and making sure they have a safe ride home, and then is rewarded through giveaways.

Armed with the right tools, events can succeed, and when that happens, everyone succeeds… the organizers, the vendors, the participants, and the community.
