The Florida State University's newest college, the College of Applied Studies, makes its home at the Florida State University Panama City campus.

Programs and opportunities offered by The College of Applied Studies at FSU Panama City provide students a nationally recognized Florida State University degree or certificate. Along with delivering the highest quality of education to its students, FSU Panama City's goal is to assist all students in developing the strength, skill, and character needed to be leaders in our state and nation.

FSU Panama City is proud to partner with the Florida Festivals and Events Association in pursuit of quality education and training for today's event management professional. The Graduate Certificate in Event Management offered online by the College of Applied Studies provides the opportunity for advanced education for today's busy event management professional. Many of the cutting edge topics presented at the FFEA Annual Convention are explored in more depth through the certificate courses.

The topics addressed in the Graduate Certificate in Event Management program courses include event planning management, marketing, sponsorships, ethics and risk management. All vital skills needed for today's competitive event market.

"When we embarked on the development of the certificate program, we looked to the leadership of FFEA for industry expertise." stated Rosemary Prince, Instructor and Program Coordinator. "Through a survey of critical skills needed for future event professionals, to the willingness of individual members to serve as guest lecturers for our courses, we have continually found that the FFEA provides a vital service through education and networking."

FFEA member agencies and individuals play a vital role training future professionals as approved agency partners with FSU for the practicum in event management course. These relationships allow the student to gain valuable event management experience.
