The Leesburg Partnership and Leesburg BikeFest

Leesburg Partnership, Inc. is proud to be a Florida Festival and Events Association (FFEA) Sponsor. The Leesburg Partnership
is an association dedicated to the revitalization of Leesburg’s downtown community. The Executive Vice President, Joe Shipes, believes so strongly in Leesburg Partnership’s sponsorship of FFEA that he’s currently serving as Chairman of the Board. He believes it’s important to support FFEA so it can continue to offer education and support to Florida events. Shipes sums it up this way, “Events can create a vital economic impact that is very important for survival in Florida’s current economy. At the same time, they create a sense of ‘place’.”
The Leesburg Partnership has helped FFEA with money, time, energy, and talent on a year-round basis, and Shipes says FFEA, in turn, has helped him by showing him how to maximize every opportunity during his events. This year, Leesburg Partnership supported FFEA by providing staff, meeting and lunch venues, audiovisual equipment, office supplies, copying the presenter’s handouts, and securing $5,000 worth of advertising in the
Daily Commercial for one of its most successful regional seminars.
 Leesburg Bikefest sponsors the FFEA’s Annual Convention and Trade Show’s Late Night Hospitality Hours---the most sought after networking opportunity at the convention. For FFEA, this is an unparalleled sponsorship. Leesburg BikeFest, and its volunteer committee of six, provided absolutely everything needed for FFEA’s successful hospitality suite---from coolers to beverages to napkins to bartenders. Last year’s bartenders served over 1,000 drinks throughout a six hour period (not including beer)!
