 Pyrotecnico's beginnings
date back to 1889 when Constantino Vitale began his fireworks company in Pietramelara,
Italy. In 1920 he immigrated to the United States and opened the Vitale Fireworks
Manufacturing Company in New Castle, Pennsylvania - a small town between Pittsburgh
and Cleveland that would become known as the "Fireworks Capital of America."
Five different generations of the Vitale family have grown the business and overseen
its development into one of the premier pyrotechnic companies in the world. By maintaining
old family traditions and combining them with new ideas and technology, Pyrotecnico
has become the largest fireworks display company in America and is delighting more
and more audiences every year.
In the 1990's, Stephen Vitale, the great grandson of Constantino, became the president
and CEO of Pyrotecnico and they began doing shows for a variety of different events
while adding many new products to compliment its traditional fireworks explosives.
Lasers, theatrical pyro, confetti and streamer cannons, flame and smoke devices,
low lying fog machines all became part of the companies repertoire and ushered in
a new era of "Fireworks Entertainment". In addition, Pyrotecnico incorporated cutting
edge software programs and specialized hardware to create the most awe inspiring
choreographed "Pyro Musicals", thrilling audiences throughout the world.
All of this hard work culminated in Pyrotecnico winning the Gold Jupiter award at
the 2009 International Fireworks Competition in Montreal, Canada. Beating out eight
other countries, they performed Rock Loves, a five-act musical fireworks show that
brought the international crowd to its feet. Combining music from many generations
and using pyrotechnics from both land and water, Pyrotechnico took its seat among
the elite fireworks entertainment companies from around the world.
Pyrotecnico is proud to be an Association Sponsor of the 2010 Florida Festivals
and Events Convention. We are committed to being part of this great organization
and appreciate all these members that we have had the good fortune to work with.
We love the exposure we receive and the networking opportunities are fabulous. We
also believe in the great state of Florida and that is why we have offices and distribution
facilities in the Tampa area. We are prepared to serve our Florida clients at a
