VOLUNTEER opportunities

Get Involved in FFEA and get more out of your Membership! FFEA Committees work to help grow our organization and provide the best educational and networking events in the state for our members.  Ambassadors / Regional Committees

The Ambassador Committee consists of regional leaders who will serve as your local point of contact for FFEA. Each Ambassador will act a resource to the members in their region, host regional networking events and workshops and act as an additional point of contact between FFEA and its current and future members.

 Marketing Committee

The Marketing committee supports the FFEA staff in creating and implementing marketing strategies to recruit and retain members and promote FFEA events including Social Media, Printed Materials and Web Content.

 Annual Convention Committees

The FFEA Annual Convention and Tradeshow is held annually in late summer. Committee volunteers typically begin working on their programs in the winter.

  • Marketing Committee – Determines overall convention theme. Promotes event through social media and local outlets.
  • SUNsational Awards Committee – Assists with SUNsational Media Awards process and Awards dinner.
  • Program Committee – Offers speaker suggestions and assists with booking and selection. Acts as room hosts onsite during event.
  • Hospitality Committee – Helps with greeting attendees, taking tickets, Coordinates late night Hospitality Suite.
  • Entertainment Showcase Committee – Solicits and schedules entertainment showcases. Introduce acts and work with Production Company on setup.
  • Social Committee –  Plans Social events during evening.
  • Silent Auction Committee – Collects Silent Auction items. Setup items for display and oversees auction during Convention.
  • Sponsorship Committee – Forward sponsorship leads and ideas and works to help secure new sponsors and ensure sponsor satisfaction during event.
  • Tradeshow Committee – Produces tradeshow including logistics and vendor registration.

Education & Emerging Leaders Committee

The Education & Emerging Leaders Committee will work to create strategic partnerships between FFEA, it's members, and Universities with Event Programs to assist in engaging Emerging Leaders in our industry. The committee is currently focusing on the following objectives: 

 
  • Assist in matching qualified interns with members who can use assistance in producing their event while providing needed credit to students.
  • Create a corporate funded scholarship program that will allow University students to attend the FFEA Convention & Tradeshow at no cost.
  • Increase usage of FFEA Job Posting Board to serve as a resource to both Emerging Leaders and Organizations looking to hire.

 Board of Directors

FFEA Board members are VERY active in the planning and production of FFEA related events and in FFEA Membership. Interested individuals will need to complete an Interest Form to be submitted with a resume to the Nominating Committee Chair for consideration.
