Marketing Workshop - Beyond the Hashtag: Algorithms and Ambassadors

Date: Aug 20, 2019
Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location(s):

Do you know what’s trending on social? Has your boss ever asked you to make something go viral? Ever wonder what will happen if you block that pesky troll? How much time should you be spending listening instead of posting? Are ‘stories’ really the way of the future?

These are all normal questions for social media managers no matter what your industry. And these questions are often the same ones keeping us up at night. To get the most out of your social media efforts, you must first understand how the various newsfeeds work and then learn how to manipulate your content to maximize visibility. This session will go beyond the hashtag to dissect algorithms, challenge trends and create compelling content designed to take the guesswork out of your social media planning. We will showcase tools to help you work smarter, not harder, and examine how to safeguard your social media activity from legal issues involving accessibility and first amendment rights. Finally, we will challenge you to build an ambassador program to take your organization’s social presence to the next level.

Topics include:
  • Social Media Trends
  • Social Media Planning - How to dissect Algorithms and create compelling content to fit within the algorithm
  • Legal Challenges to consider when using social media
    • ADA Compliance
    • 1st Amendment
    • Public Records & Sunshine Law
