Great food shouldn’t be just for the elite. Everyone should have access to the best food and craft beer in Tampa Bay, regardless of economics or dietary restriction. Going out for a fun experience should also support vital anti-violence and community programs for people and pets. These beliefs are at the core of LocalShops1’s Florida Food & Brews Festival 2020’s special event 11am – 5pm, Feb 1st at England Brothers Park, 5010 81st Ave N, Pinellas Park. (Rain date Feb 8.) Dozens of restaurants and craft breweries will compete in the categories: Best Entrée, Best Vegan Entrée, Best Food Truck, Best Side Dish, Best Dessert, Best Craft IPA and Best Craft Lager. They will be judged by a roster of food experts from print, radio and social media. Best yet, event attendees can sample over 40 food creations for just $3/sample and choose the popular vote winners by donating to select nonprofits.
