Calle Ocho Live, the virtual stand-in for the nation’s largest and most iconic Latin music festival, is partnering with Team Footworks for the inaugural Calle Ocho Virtual 8K Run. Proceeds from the live steam music festival, and the virtual run will will be used by the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation to assist diverse families in South Florida with college scholarships, back to school assistance, holiday gifts, emergency financial assistance, and other support during the Covid-19 crisis.
Runners can register for the race through October 28th at http://bit.ly/CalleOcho8K, which is being powered by Haku. Entry fees are $35 for a dry fit t-shirt, or $38 for a dry fit t-shirt with an accompanying medal. All runners will receive a virtual bib, custom Spotify Calle Ocho Live playlist & finisher certificate.
Once registered, runners will be able to plan their run to take place between October 15th and 31st. Runners do not need to submit results to receive their race packets. Packets for registered runners will be distributed beginning on October 15th.
