Sylvia Allen
Sylvia Allen, has been teaching and practicing sponsorship sales for decades! Her simple, easy-to-follow program is designed for all size markets ... small-medium-large .. and is customer focused. It's a shift from "we need" to "what can we do for you". As a result, it is very successful and creates long term partnerships.

She has taught around the world, 20 years at NYU, countless festival and event conferences, main street conferences and park and recreation conventions, to name just a few. She is the author of "How to be Successful at Sponsorship Sales" and "A Womans' Guide to Sales Success".

A few of her many rewards include IFEA Hall of Fame, top 50 women entrepreneurs in NJ, Girl Scout woman of the Year, and outstanding philanthropist of the year from AFP for her work in Uganda, Africa.

She has sold millions of dollars in sponsorship for such clients as the Garden State Arts Center, Iditarod race in Alaska and the San Gennaro Festival in New York City.

Nick Borelli
Nick Borelli, President and Strategist of Borelli Strategies, has been in the event industry since he was 14 years old. He specializes in digital marketing strategies through consulting, coaching, and brand communication management for events and event companies.

Nick has been awarded ILEA Esprit Award for International Volunteer of the Year, CBC Magazine’s Networking Star of the Year, Smart Business Magazine’s Social Media Impact Award, and the ISES WOW Award for Best Marketing Campaign over $75,000. In 2015, Nick was selected by Special Event Magazine as one of the 25 Top Young Professionals to watch. He speaks internationally on topics ranging from event technology, content marketing, digital and live engagement, trade show exhibiting, and leadership.

He has held multiple positions with the International Live Events Association (ILEA) including International Marcom Chair, Chair of Digital Strategy, Midwest Brand Champion, ISES Live Conference Technology Chair as well as Cleveland Chapter VP of Communication and President. Nick is the Chair of Public Relations and Marketing for the SEARCH Foundation and is on the Advisory Council for the Student Event Planners Association and Events Uncovered.

Erin Bryce
Erin Bryce, a native of Southwest Florida, has led communications, marketing, and public relations for the City of North Port, Florida since August 2007. Currently, she is the Communications & Outreach Coordinator for the City's General Services Department, which oversees parks and recreation, information technology, and social services.

In August of 2016, Erin received her master's degree from the University of Florida in Mass Communications with a specialization in Social Media. She also is a board member of the City-County Communications & Marketing Association.

Bryce's work with community outreach and government communications has been recognized nationally. She has been featured during several webinars offered by Granicus and the Alliance for Innovation. She also has been a presenter at the Alliance for Innovation's annual 2014 Transforming Local Government Conference and a presenter at the Florida City-County Management Association's annual 2014 conference. In 2015, she spoke at the Government Social Media Conference in Reno and again in 2017 in Dallas. She also has spoken at numerous conferences by the City-County Communications & Marketing Association.

Jessica Bybee-Dziedzic
Jessica Bybee-Dziedzic has a comprehensive background in online marketing, social media, and website strategy. In 2007, she joined Wright Strategies, managing online projects for clients including KEEN Footwear, Nike and Frito Lay. Two years later, the Wright Strategies team created Saffire, providing events, venues and destinations with websites and ticketing in a simple integrated platform.

Since 2009, Jessica has played a key role in planning and developing many aspects of Saffire. She has served as the Director of Marketing, Director of Client Experience and is currently a Director of Partnerships.

She received a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MA in Education from National-Louis University in Heidelberg, Germany. In her spare time, she and her husband pursue their love of films, as co-owners of an indie film production company and annual film festival.

G2 was sold to Verisk Analytics in August, 2017.

He and his wife Lisa live in Draper, UT and passionately support charitable entities focused on cancer charities and providing food, support, and innovative educational programs to at risk kids.

Dan Cockerell
Dan has held various management and executive operations roles at the Walt Disney World Resort, both in the theme parks and resort hotels, and was the sixth executive to hold the position of Vice President, Magic Kingdom since the park opened in 1971. He earned his MBA in 2001 at the Crummer School of Business at Rollins College.

Dan puts great value on spending time in the operation and frequently spent time in the park, assisting cast members and interacting with guests. He believes that building relationships is critical for leadership success, and his approachability in the workplace is a testament to his people-first philosophy.

In addition to his operational responsibilities, Dan has been a keynote speaker for the world-renowned Disney Institute for 18 years. He has addressed open-enrollment participants as well as attendees in customized programs including the USAA Bank, General Motors, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Army, the Southern Methodist University Business School, Porsche A.G., and United Airlines. He also participated in the Sodexo Quality Life Worldwide Conference Panel, moderated by Arianna Huffington, in 2015.
He served on the board of Junior Achievement of Central Florida from 2004-2018, and was Chairman in 2010.

Jessica Frost
Jessica Frost is Executive Director, Industry Relations at Broadcast Music, Inc. In this role, she develops and cultivates relationships with industry associations and businesses across the country that use BMI music. Based in Nashville, Frost is a 19-year veteran at BMI.

Frost began her career at BMI in 1999 as a Customer Relations Executive for BMI’s licensing team and moved through the ranks holding various positions. Her current responsibilities include representing BMI to various trade associations in the radio, television, hotel, restaurant, bar, wineries, and fitness industries, as well as other business segments that use music across the United States. By creating and managing cooperative partnerships with these associations, Frost is instrumental in educating business owners about copyright law, music licensing and the service that BMI provides to all businesses and organizations that play music publicly. As part of this educational outreach, she is also responsible for sponsoring events that connect BMI songwriters with the businesses that play their music.

Frost currently sits on the board of the Tennessee Association of Broadcasters and the Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. She holds a B.A. from the University of Florida.

Kevin Grothe
Kevin Grothe has more than 25 years of sales, marketing and fund raising experience in the event industry. Known for developing long-term business relationships, he has successfully increased department revenues for several event organizations and institutions of higher learning.

Kevin has been with Memphis in May International Festival for 11 years and serves as the Vice President of Sponsorships. He has worked with several national accounts including Nike, Chaco, Otter Box, YETI and Ford. Through successfully negotiating and implementing a myriad of sponsorship strategies, revenue has increased from $1 million to more than $2 million.

Previously, Kevin was the Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs for the University of Memphis. While with the University, he oversaw an $8 million capital campaign. He has also held positions with the Mid-American Conference, Miami University, the University of Iowa and Influence America.

Kevin also serves on the IFEA Foundation Board, is married to Betty and has three step-sons, Dean, Nick and Chase.

John Harris
John’s foundation of knowledge in alcohol beverage and tobacco regulations; government processes; government decision makers; alcohol beverage dealer training; and liquor and business licensing were developed during his 28 year government career. Serving under six governors, his entire government career was with the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco, (“ABT”), retiring after leading the agency for eight years as its deputy director and director.

Today, John has more than 49 years of experience in government and as a consultant.

John’s clients include all tiers of the alcohol industry (manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, brand owners, and retailers) as well as capital fund managers, the food industry, and professionals required to be licensed by states.
He has been recognized by the National Conference of State Liquor Administrators, the National Alcohol Beverage Control State’s Association, the American Bar Association, attorneys, consultants, government agencies, legislative leaders, professionals, business owners, and non-profit groups. He also has experience solving business and professional licensing and regulatory problems with local and state executive-branch agencies. He has drafted many of Florida’s alcohol regulations and laws, while working for both ABT and GrayRobinson. His widespread knowledge of alcohol laws, regulations, government policies, and how the government operates give him a unique consulting perspective to assist clients.

Lorna Kibbey
Lorna J. Kibbey designs and delivers management and leadership seminars and services to public and private sector organizations. Lieutenant Gary Martin
Lt. Gary Martin was born in Guam and has resided in southwest Florida since 2001.

Prior to joining CCSO, Lt. Martin was a member of the Air Force where he served honorably on active duty for six years. He currently serves as a member of the Air Force Reserve.

Lt. Martin joined CCSO in 2001 as a road patrol deputy assigned to the Immokalee district. He then moved to the Criminal Investigations Division as a Major Crimes detective, he was later promoted to Patrol sergeant, serving in the Golden Gate District.

He holds associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and a master’s degree in critical incident management from St. Leo University.

Kevin McNulty is co-founder and president of NetWeave Social Networking. John Melleky
John R. Melleky, CFRE, CFEE is a Principal of FIG Solutions, a consulting firm that assists organizations in "Filling In Gaps" as needed. John has recently completed a tenure with the Edison Festival of Light in Fort Myers, FL, which Southwest Florida's largest and longest-running festival. As the Executive Director of Development, John revised the sponsorship program that included custom proposals, opportunities for marketing, and detailed recap reports with a return on investment. Results included an increase of almost 30% in funded income, including a 23% increase in sponsorship dollars, 133% increase in advertising revenue, and an 11% in grant income. In addition, he created new marketing platforms that included outdoor, mailings, radio, and television programs, which had a 700% increase in local media coverage in one year.

Chief Eloy Ricardo
Chief Eloy Ricardo joined the District in January 2001 as a Firefighter, moving up through the ranks to Engineer, Acting Lieutenant and to his current position of Assistant Chief of Life Safety and Prevention.

In this position, Chief Ricardo oversees all of the District’s life safety and prevention programs as well as fire inspections and plan review. Affiliations include Member of the Florida Fire Marshal’s Association and Member of the Fire Department Safety Officers Association. Past roles include Vice President of the North Naples Professional Firefighters Local 2297 as well as 11th District Vice President of the Florida Professional Firefighters representing Collier, Lee, Glades and Hendry Counties.

Understanding the importance of community, he also volunteers numerous hours each year as Assistant Football Coach at Gulf Coast High School and on the Executive Board of the Pop Warner Naples Hurricanes Youth Football Association. Chief Ricardo received his Associate of Science Degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University in 2013.

Jeffrey Shaprio
Jeffrey Shapiro, Owner of Solutions Event Services has been in the Parking Industry for over 25 years. Robert Smith
Robert Smith is a father, husband, entertainer and speaker. He started his entertainment career as a magician in 1997 and went on to have some of America's largest companies and events as clients including Walt Disney World and Sea World.

In 2004, Robert made his first fair appearance at the Nevada State Fair. He'd spend the next 7 years struggling to find long term success with his magic show in the fair market. In 2011, recognizing the fair industry was saturated with magicians, Robert knew he needed to make a change or he would continue to struggle.

In May of 2011, a friend suggested Robert build a fortune machine, like the one in the Tom Hanks movie, "Big." Hesitant at first, Robert set out to design what would come to be known as Conjurer Fortune Machine.

The act featured Robert portraying the mechanical fortune teller and went on to be booked into America's largest fairs including the Los Angeles County Fair, Ohio State Fair, Arizona State Fair and OC Fair in Costa Mesa, California.

Teresa Stas
Teresa Stas is an accomplished marketing leader and Director of Green Cactus, a Sponsorship and consulting firm that specializes in live event sponsorship sales, marketing and sponsorship management. Her 15+ year career began in broadcasting as a marketing director for CBS Radio and Alpha Media USA, handling over 300 events and promotions a year involving some of the biggest names in music like Taylor Swift and Luke Bryan. Tess Vismale
Tess is passionate about smart technology for hospitality professionals. She’s always on the road educating event professionals on the latest and greatest technologies, as well as practical tech solutions that can make their lives easier and more efficient.

Tess is Chief Event Executioner for iSocialExecution, Inc; Tech Evangelist with DAHLIA+; and industry speaker. She is the former Senior Event Lead at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Tech Evanleist at The Meeting Pool, and Conference Center Manager at Atlanta Technical College where she also served on the President’s Leadership Team.

Tess is a CMP (Certified Meeting Professional), DES (Digital Event Strategist), and member of Skål International. She stage manages for TEDxPeachtree, was named “Meetings Trendsetter 2014”, and was awarded the GaMPI Shining Star Award.
