The yearlong celebration of America's 250th continues Labor Day Weekend at the first-ever Fall Tampa Bay Rodeo & Family Festival, September 4 & 5, at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds.
After July's sold-out Tampa Bay Rodeo, you asked for moreāand we listened. For the first time ever, we're bringing the excitement of the Tampa Bay Rodeo to Labor Day Weekend with two action-packed nights of FULL RODEO competition. Watch the region's top cowboys and cowgirls battle it out in bull riding, bronco busting, barrel racing, calf roping and more.
A 150-foot American flag soaring above the grounds sets a patriotic tone for the evening. The rodeo opens with a stirring ceremony honoring the brave men and women of the U.S. military, featuring mounted cowgirls carrying American flags, a moving musical salute and special recognition of veterans in attendance. The event proudly welcomes participation by the Florida National Guard, the United States Air Force and Wounded Warrior Project.
Arrive early for the Family Festival featuring live music by Noah Hunton in the Busch Light Beer Barn, delicious food and festival favorites including the mechanical bull, axe throwing, giant inflatable slide and a spectacular 110-foot patriotic American flag slide. Explore military vehicle displays before the rodeo begins, then upgrade to the Reserved Seating Area for premium seating closest to the bucking chutes, access to a private bar, private restrooms, complimentary snacks, added security and a designated non-smoking area.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m., live music begins at 5:45 p.m., and the rodeo starts at 7:30 p.m.
