Amendment 3

Florida Festivals & Events Association's Position on Amendment 3:

We believe Floridians deserve tax relief and the community traditions that make our state feel like home.

Every parade watched from a parent's shoulders. Every hometown festival. Every concert in the park. Every farmers market. Every holiday celebration. Every afternoon spent on a neighborhood playground.

These are the moments where lifelong memories are made.

These experiences are made possible through local investment. Amendment 3 does not provide a clear plan to protect the local funding that supports the festivals, parks, recreation programs, arts, cultural events, and public spaces that bring our communities together.

Until there is a reliable plan to preserve the places, programs, and traditions that define Florida's communities, the Florida Festivals & Events Association encourages Floridians to vote No on Amendment 3.

Everything you need to explain what's at stake:

Amendment 3 is not a tax cut, it’s a tax shift.

When property tax revenue drops, public safety, stormwater systems, and road repairs don’t disappear from the budget. They get shifted onto renters, businesses, and the neighbors who didn’t get the break.
