FFEA Webinar - Navigating Tough Conversations with Confidence

Date: Nov 12, 2025
Time: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Navigating Tough Conversations with Confidence – Strategies for fostering open, honest, and impactful dialogue.

Feedback is essential for growth, but a Harvard Business Review study found that 44% of managers avoid giving feedback due to fear of adverse reactions. Emotional responses can derail productive conversations if not managed with empathy and civility.

This training equips participants with tools to navigate emotional responses in feedback situations. Through storytelling, real-life scenarios, and interactive exercises, attendees will explore the psychological factors behind emotional reactions and learn techniques to de-escalate tension. The course emphasizes strategies to maintain civility, promote understanding, and foster productive dialogue.

By the end of this session, participants will have greater confidence in managing emotional reactions during feedback exchanges and will develop techniques for embracing emotional responses as opportunities for connection, growth, and progress.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Understand the psychological factors that contribute to emotional responses in feedback.
• Develop strategies to manage and de-escalate emotional reactions.
• Learn techniques to maintain civility and foster productive conversations.
• Enhance communication skills to promote understanding and connection during feedback.
